School Year Ending

May 16, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Hillsboro High School students are approaching the end of the year cautiously, with guarded smiles and a touch of apprehension, no doubt. Plaques mounted along the corridor outside the administration offices and telling of the achievements of former students add to the challenges of Finals Week. The last day of classes is Friday, May 23. Graduation is planned two days later on Sunday, May 25 at the Hillsboro Events Center.
Meanwhile, the kids are counting: five more days. Smiles are allowed to accompany the countdown.

School fills vacancies

Hoping to fill voids in their teaching and coaching ranks and the empty and waiting stalls in the bus garage, Hillsboro School officials found a FACS teacher on the NDSU campus, a volleyball coach in its own backyard and two used vehicles, one in a neighboring car lot and the other in cyberspace.

A 2008 North Dakota State University graduate, Katherine Wolsky will be Hillsboro’s Family and Consumer Science (FACS) teacher next fall. Wolsky will split her days between Hillsboro and the school at Thompson.  (more…)

May 16, 2008 · Leave a Comment

So who am I to question their most desirable lists, a register that includes, of all people, North Dakota Gov. John Hoeven, in addition to a handful of other governors, we’re told.

Makes me wonder who else the high-end prostitutes of Los Angeles rank and rate, view and review.

Newspapermen, perhaps.  (more…)
