Golfers place at region meet

Two HHS/CV girls golfers placed at the Region 2 meet in Carrington May 5.

Senior Laura Bakke from Central Valley earned 4th and HHS sophomore Becca Heinitz finished 5th. The Burros were short a 4th golfer and could not place as a team in the race with seven other schools.

On the boys side May 6 at Carrington, the HCV team placed 7th among 11 teams. Kindred won the meet. Top scores for the Burros were posted by Jake Waters, Josh Mayo, Derek Zerface and Dominic Nelson. 

The Burros hosted a boys meet May 1 and fielded two teams, finishing 5th and 9th among the nine team field. Again Waters, Mayo and Zerface were leading the race for the Burros. Aaron Meyer added the 4th low score. Oak Grove won the meet.
