Jamie Horne, a junior forward with the Hillsboro Burros, was named to the Red River Valley All-Conference District 3 team for the second year in a row.

Jake Olsen and Aaron Meyer received honorable mention recognition on the all conference and all-district team named this week.

Horne was one of four juniors named to the 10-player team. 

Olsen and Meyer were two of the five named honorable mention.

Regular season champion Dakota Prairie had three players named to the elite team. Gus Kueber, Seth Nichols and Ross Severson represented the Knights. District 3 tournament winner Hatton-Northwood placed two players — Ben Strand and Mark Wallace — on the all district team.

Others named to the elite team were Troy Dale, MPCG; Karl Hager, Larimore; and Ricky Morgan and Tyler Demoe, Thompson.

Seth Frederick, Dakota Prairie; Ross Olson, MPCG; and Jesse Ott, Griggs County, were the honorable mention selections.

Hatton-Northwood’s Wallace was named Senior Player of the Year. Mark Hegg, Thomson coach, is the Coach of the Year.
