Pack up your coolers, sunscreen and bug spray, and come on out to Reynolds for a weekend of families, friends, and fun.
The city will celebrate its 125+2 anniversary July 27-29. The festivities will begin Friday with a steak fry from 5:30-8:30 p.m.
“Dakota Mysteries & Oddities Museum” will be on display from 7-10 p.m. and the Variety Show will begin at 7:30. The Variety Show will consist of volunteer performers presenting various acts — comedy, singing, dancing or any other talent that they may have. Applications can be picked up in Reynolds at Weber’s Grocery or the Beehive.
A fireworks display will follow the Variety Show at 10 p.m.
Saturday will kick off with a breakfast sponsored by the Community Veterans’ Park committee from 7 to 10 a.m., followed by a 5K walk/run, a parade, a Show-n-Shine Car Show, a street fair, kids carnival, and a pie and ice cream social at St. Olaf Lutheran Church.
At 4 p.m. there will be an Alumni Baseball game. The Fire Department will serve a dinner at 6 p.m. Anyone interested in participating in the baseball game should contact Michael Leddige. The street dance will begin at 9 p.m.
A church service will be held in the park on Sunday morning, followed by the dedication of the recently completed Community Veterans’ Park.
Anyone from out-of-town who is interested in camping in Reynolds may contact AA Auto Body in Reynolds. They will have camper parking available for a fee for the entire weekend.
Anyone interested in volunteering to help out with any event or has a question about the celebration should contact any committee member, Weber’s Grocery or the Beehive in Reynolds.
